College Archives and Chapin Library

The archives serve as the living memory of the institution, with holdings ranging from early student letters to current student newspapers. Chapin Library offers the community access to distinguished collections of rare books and manuscripts from medieval times to the present, including the Founding Documents of the United States of America and Audubon’s Birds of America on permanent display. The College Archives and Chapin Library provide hands-on experience with primary source materials.

New address for Archives and Chapin

Archives and Chapin have relocated to Apartment 3 of the Southworth Schoolhouse, 96 School Street.  Services will resume early September.

Archives and Chapin setting up new home

Stetson collections successfully relocated

All Stetson collections from Archives, Chapin Library and Sawyer storage earmarked to be moved to the  Library Shelving Facility have been successfully relocated.  Processing of collections into the LSF will be ongoing through the fall of 2008.

College Archives and Chapin Library close down

The College Archives and the Chapin Library are now closed to enable both libraries to prepare collections for the summer move.  Collections and services will be unavailable until September 2008 when both libraries have established operations in the Southworth School.

Collections in Stetson prepare to move
