This exhibition was put together by the students in ENGL/AMST/WGSS 113: The Feminist Poetry Movement to reflect the vibrant print culture of the Women’s Liberation Movement and the major role that poetry played in movement building and organizing.
The exhibit features a small selection of the hundreds of feminist periodicals, newspapers, anthologies and poetry chapbooks that were published in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s when feminist activist poets were at the center of a revolutionary social justice movement that changed the world. This exhibit is currently on display in Sawyer Library’s Lippman Atrium through the end of November.
