New Display: National DNA Day 2023

a section of a display featuring colorful building blocks and informational posters about National DNA Day 2023In celebration of National DNA Day (4/25) students in DNA + Latinx: Decoding the “Cosmic Race” (LATS 330) have taken over the display cases in Sawyer’s Lippman Atrium to share their exploration of Latindades through a genealogical lens. National DNA Day is a global movement to mobilize, energize and empower communities, educators and students to innovate, collaborate and discover the promise of our shared humanity and connection to the natural world. This year’s celebration marks a milestone as it commemorates both the 20th anniversary of the Human Genome Project’s completion and the 70th anniversary of the discovery of the DNA double helix.
