Missing citations from PsycInfo

The problem

A recent update to PsycInfo created a problem with cited references.  Both reference lists and “cited by” info are missing from entries in the database. As a result, citation searching is not possible using PsycInfo.

What we’re doing

EBSCO, the vendor who provides us with PsycInfo, is aware of the problem, and is working to fix it.

The solution

To see the cited references for something you find in PsycInfo, you can:

  1. Search the article in the library catalog to get it from another source
  2. Download the full text of the article using the “find text” button in PsycInfo.

To get “cited by” references for something you find in PsycInfo, you can:

  1. Use Google Scholar or Web of Science to search for sources that cite the item. See our research guide on citation searching to learn how.
