The banning of books has a long history. See examples of banned or censored books from the Chapin Library in the Special Collections Instruction Gallery, Sawyer 408, through the end of October. Presented in conjunction with a panel discussion on freedom of inquiry, Thursday, October 6th at 4:15 pm in Sawyer 452, sponsored by the Williams Libraries and Phi Beta Kappa. A related display of books from the general collection may be seen through Friday, October 7th in the entrance lobby of Sawyer Library.
