FRANCIS, the Williams College Libraries' online catalog contains all the books and other materials that the Library purchase. Use it to search for a specific author or title or to compile a bibliography on a specific topic. Williams uses Library of Congress Subject Headings. To find books on a particular subject, use the Keyword search option. Then look at the subjects under which it has been cataloged.

The BLC Virtual Catalog is the combined catalog of many of the Boston Library Consortium Libraries, including Brown, Boston University, Northeastern University, UMass Amherst, UMass Boston, UMass Dartmouth, UMass Lowell, UMass Medical, Tufts, the Marine Biological Laboratory/Wood's Hole Oceanographic Institution, Wellesley, and Williams. It also includes five public library networks in Massachusetts. You may request books that are not available at Williams through the Virtual Catalog. If on the shelves at another BLC library, they they will normally be delivered in three-five working days.

WorldCat is the combined catalogs of most of the libraries in the United States, as well as several non-US libraries. Most books located in WorldCat can be requested through the Virtual Catalog (for fasted delivery) or through InterLibrary Loan.

Buchhandel.de is the online equivalent of Verzeichnis lieferbarer Bücher (German Books in Print) as is the best source for German language books, though some may not be available for sale in the United States.
