While studying away, you should always try to use your host institution library, but you do still have access to the following Williams College Libraries resources and services:
| Indexes and Databases | Many of the resources on the Indexes & Databases page are accessible anywhere you have an Internet connection. However, you will need to set up your browser to authenticate yourself as a Williams student. See Using the Proxy Server for instructions. Some of these databases have the full text of articles, so you don't need to worry about whether the library at your host institution has the journal or magazine. |
| EJournals | If an article you need is not available at your host institution, check the Williams Ejournals page to see if we have it in electronic format. Like our indexes and databases, most of the resources on the Ejournals page are available anywhere. Again, you will need to use the proxy server. |
| Research Assistance | Through our Ask a Librarian service, you can get help with research questions. |
| Materials available at Williams | Copies of articles not available at your host institution but available in the Williams College Libraries may be be requested through our interlibrary loan service ILLiad. Please indicate in the comments box that you are studying away and unable to come to campus. |
| Interlibrary Loan |
Copies of articles not available at your host institution or Williams may be requested using our interlibrary loan service ILLiad. (If you have not used ILLiad previously, you will need to create a user account.) Please indicate in the comments box on the request form your mailing address or FAX number if you are not able to access PDFs electronically. |
