What Is It? Database is maintained by the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), established in 1962. Provides access to archived social science data for research and instruction.
Why Use It? Obtain data from research in the social sciences, including census, elections, demographic, public opinion, and related areas.
IEEE Computer Society Digital Library (Coverage Varies) What Is It? Online access to 25 society magazines and transactions and more than 1,700 selected conference proceedings published by the IEEE Computer Society.
Why Use It? Find journal and magazine articles for computer science and related technologies, as well as, transactions and proceedings from IEEE conferences.
ILOLEX Database of International Labour Standards (1919 - current) What Is It? ILOLEX is a trilingual database containing ILO Conventions and Recommendations, ratification information, comments of the Committee of Experts and the Committee on Freedom of Association, representations, complaints, interpretations, General Surveys, and numerous related documents.
Why Use It? Get full-text of ILO conventions, recommendations and other information.
In the First Person (1500s - present) What Is It? Index to more than 3,350 collections of personal narratives (oral histories, letters, and diaries) in English from around the world. In some cases, the texts and/or audio files are linked and freely available. Most of the older materials are by subscription only.
Why Use It? To find oral histories and oral history collections, interviews and personal narratives in repositories around the world.
Index Islamicus (1906-Present) 
What Is It? Indexes literature on Islam, the Middle East and the Muslim world, including Muslim areas of Asia and Africa, and Muslim minorities elsewhere.
Why Use It? Find journal articles and book chapters on the Middle East and the Muslim World. Find book reviews.
Index of Christian Art What Is It? The Index records works of art produced without geographical limitations from early apostolic times up to A.D. 1400 (extended in the case of the Morgan and Princeton Library projects to include this manuscript holdings up to the end of the sixteenth century). As is to be expected, there is a particular emphasis and focus on art of the western world. Seventeen different media are represented in the archive, and these include manuscripts, metalwork, sculpture, painting, glass, and so forth. more info

Index to 19th-Century American Art Periodicals (1800-1899) What Is It? Online index of 42 art journals published in the U.S. during the 19th century, containing articles, art notes, stories, poems and advertisements.
Why Use It? To research artists and illustrators, painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, architecture and design, exhibitions and sales, decoration, and collecting written about in 19th century American art journals.
Index Translationum (1979-Present) What Is It? International bibliography of translations. Created in 1932, it contains information on books translated and published in the UNESCO Member States since 1979. Updated every four months. Includes a list of Translators Through History.
Why Use It? To find out if a book has been translated and get the bibliographic citation in target language.
IndiaStat.com (Coverage Varies) What Is It? Statistics from Indian Government agencies relating to all aspects of Indian life: population, health, economy, education, etc. Also includes general data about India, such as a list of newspapers by province.
Why Use It? Find statistics about India.
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (1998-Present) What Is It? The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has been established by WMO and UNEP to assess scientific, technical and socioeconomic information relevant for the understanding of climate change, its potential impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation.
Why Use It? Contains full-text reports about climate change research and recommendations. Three reports are anticipated in 2007.
International Court of Justice Judgments, Advisory Opinions and Orders (1946-current) What Is It? Summaries of Judgments, Advisory Opinions and Orders of the International Court of Justice.
Why Use It? To get a perspective on International Relations through the cases that are tried in the International Court of Justice
International Encyclopedia of Dance What Is It? With nearly 2,000 articles written by scholars from fifty countries, the Encyclopedia covers the full spectrum of dance—theatrical, ritual, dance-drama, folk, traditional, ethnic, and social dance. Cultural and national overviews are accompanied by entries on dance forms, music and costumes, performances, and biographies of dancers and choreographers.
Why Use It? Find encyclopedia articles on dance and choreography.
International Financial Statistics (1948-Present) What Is It? International Financial Statistics Database.
Why Use It? Find financial statistics, e.g., GDP, M2, employment, national reserves, etc, for over 200 countries. Data Provided by the International Monetary Fund.
International Index to Black Periodicals (1998-present) What Is It? Citations and abstracts from scholarly journals and newsletters from the United States, Africa and the Caribbean, and full-text coverage of core Black Studies periodicals. Coverage is international and multidisciplinary in scope.
Why Use It? Find articles on the African American experience in the United States as seen through periodicals that focus on the Black community.
International Index to Music Periodicals (Coverage Varies) What Is It? Bibliographic index to music periodicals. Indexes over 373 current international music periodicals. Includes retrospective coverage from over 185 titles back to 1874.

International Index to the Performing Arts (1998-Present; some coverage 1864-1998) What Is It? Contains reviews, conference papers, essays and biographies covering dance, film, television, theater, and other topics relating to the performing arts including circus arts, mime, magic and storytelling.
Why Use It? Find information about the performing arts (primarily dance, film, television and theater). Locate biographical profiles, obituaries and interviews of performers.
International Labour Organization (ILO) (1983-current) What Is It? Main ILO database on labour statistics covering household incomes and expendture statistics,economically active population (data since 1945), employment, unemployment, employment by sex for detailed occupational groups (1970-2000), public sector employment, statistical sources and methods, hours of work, wages, labour cost, consumer prices, occupational injuries and strikes and lockouts (data since 1969). It is the main ILO statistical database and has statistics published in the Yearbook of Labour Statistics, the October Inquiry and the Bulletin of Labour Statistics. It also includesestimates and projections of the economically active population.

International Medieval Bibliography (1967-Present) What Is It? Covers all aspects of Medieval Studies within the date range 400-1500. The geographical range is the entire continent of Europe, as well as the Middle East and North Africa. Does not include monographs or short reviews.
