What Is It? FAOSTAT is an on-line and multilingual database currently containing over 3 million time-series records covering international statistics in the following areas: production, trade, food balance sheets, producer prices, forestry trade flow, land use and irrigation, forest and fishery products, fertilizers and pesticides, agricultural machinery, food aid shipments, and food exports.
Why Use It? Find data on crops, nutrition, forestry, fisheries worldwide.
FBIS (Foreign Broadcast Information Service) (1974-1996)
What Is It? Database is not yet complete. For update on available content: see FBIS release schedule. FBIS contains full-text English translations of foreign broadcasts, newspapers, periodicals and government statements. Use FBIS Index to access content not yet available in this product.
Why Use It? Use FBIS to find first-hand, local perspectives of events in non-U.S. countries as they occurred. Database primarily covers topics significant to U.S. trade, legal and security issues.

What Is It? FBIS Index is an index to English translations of foreign broadcasts, newspapers, periodicals and government statements. What Is It? The FCC Record is a comprehensive compilation of decisions, reports and public notices and other documents of the Federal Communications Commission from 1986 to the present. It was preceded by the FCC Report (1934 - 1986), which may be the focus of a future digitization project.
Why Use It? To find decisions, reports and public notices and other documents of the Federal Communications Commission from 1986 to the present.
Federal Register Library (1936 - present)
What Is It? Contains the Federal Register from its inception in 1936, the Code of Federal Regulations, the Administrative Procedure Act, Code of Emergency Federal Regulations, the U.S. Government Manual and the Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents. The Federal Register is where the details of the rules and regulations that enforce federal law are first published. See the User Guide.
Why Use It? Use the Federal Register Library to find details of the United States federal government agencies' proposed rules, changes to existing rules, and final rules, and legal notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents. The historic Federal Register can provide important details of policy evolutions on issues such as the environment, social issues, trade topics, etc.
