Internet Explorer 6 (PC)

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Go to Tools | Internet Options
  • Select the Connections tab
  • If you use dial-up, highlight the connection and click Settings...
    If you use a LAN (such as cable modem or DSL), click LAN Settings...

  • In the address box, type proxy.williams.edu
  • In the port box, type 3128

  • Click OK to close all boxes
  • A box will pop up asking you to log in - use your Williams username and password

Please Note: The proxy server will not work correctly in Internet Explorer if you are using AOL. Solution: Download Netscape or FireFox and configure it to use the proxy server.
