We have a Local Borrowing Agreement with this library, which allows Williams College Library patrons to borrow up to five books in person. This service is available to current Williams College faculty, students, and staff.
The first step is to obtain a local lending form and stamped postcard from the reference desk at Sawyer or Schow libraries.
The form states that you have our library's permission to borrow up to five books on a specific subject. It must be signed by a reference librarian. When you get to the other library, pick out from one to five books and fill in the call number, author, and title of the book(s) you want on both the form and the postcard. Take the postcard, form and books to a reference librarian, who will check out the books and take the form and postcard.
The postcard will be mailed to the Williams Interlibrary Loan department as its record of your borrowing these books. When you are finished with the books, return them to the Williams Interlibrary Loan department.
