This easy to use resource provides statistics include money supply, consumer credit, production, interest rates, deposits, and foreign exchange rates. The St Louis siste is easier to use and contains more data than the Federal Reserve site. However, the Fed site contains more daily data. Charts can be displayed in HTML format or in ASCII format for downloading.

  8. Elections and Politics

    America at the Polls provides a compendium of presidential election data from 1920 to the present.

    America Votes has been a major source for election data state by state and county by county since 1945. It includes statistical tables list the votes for the House and the Senate, primary results for each state governor, the Presidential preference primary vote by state from 1968 through 1988, and the state-by-state votes for president from 1920 to 1988. Also included are state maps outline counties and congressional districts. City maps detail wards and districts in major urban areas. For each state, a complete roll call of current governors, US senators and members House is provided. Also included are state-by-state and county-by-county 1990 population data and tables of the statewide vote for President, governor and US senators from 1945 to 1990.

    Center for Responsive Politics offers coverage of congressional and presidential campaign fundraising issues. Click on ELECTION 2000: PRESIDENTIAL RACE, and you can compare all of the presidential candidates by amount and source of contributions as well as the interest groups and industries that support them. Details are also given about where (geographically) the candidates' money comes from. In addition, information is given on individual donors ($200 or more) for elections from 1994 on.

    Congressional Districts in the 1990s gives, by each congressional district in the U.S., a clear profile of the residents by age, education, income, race, occupation, ethnicity and political affiliation. It tells what newspapers, TV, radio and other media are available in the district. The volume also gives information on other important features of the district, including largest employers, educational institutions, etc.

    Congressional Quarterly's Guide to U.S. elections provides tables of historical election data on presidential primary returns, 1912-1992, gubernatorial, Senate and House popular vote returns, 1787-1993, electoral votes maps for 1789-1992, and much other data on conventions, political parties, House and Senate leaders, etc.

    The Election Data Book gives data on elections for president, governor, and US Congress at county and congressional district levels. It includes geographic, racial and ethnic composition of the electorate, as well as party affiliation and voter turnout. State tables show the relative weight of each county and congressional district in the demographic and electoral totals.

  16. Trade

    Direction of Trade. Produced by the International Monetary Fund, the Direction of Trade Yearbook provides data on imports and exports by partnered countries. The data is overall imports and overall exports by partner by year. It does not provide commodity level data. So, you would use it to find out the total imports from Israel to Turkey, but not what those imports comprised.
