Photocopying and Scanning Services

Library-Service

Faculty may bring library-owned journal articles and books to the Access Services Desk at Sawyer Library or the Library Services Desk of Schow Science Library. Copies or scans of those items will be made and sent via campus mail or e-mail. Items will be copied or scanned within 24 hours, excepting weekends (No service Saturday/Sunday. Requests made on Friday will be available on Monday afternoon). There is a limit of five requests per day.

Due to copyright law, we can provide only one reproduction of each journal article or book chapter. Multiple chapters from the same book can only be reproduced after publisher permission has been received.

Self-Service

Faculty members and their designated proxies may use the photocopiers on the lower level of Sawyer Library (near the CD collection), the one outside the Reference Department, and in the Schow Science Library Copy Room at no charge. By-pass keys are available at the Sawyer Access Services Desk and at the Schow Services Desk.

Sheet-feeding scanners with a built-in email delivery option of PDF, JPEG, TIFF, or MTIFF files are available in both Sawyer and Schow.
