Archiving Your Syllabi
The College Libraries collects and archives course syllabi in electronic form.
Please e-mail your syllabi files as attachments to . We realize that syllabi can develop over the course of a semester. We would like to archive, however, at least a snapshot of your course.
We collect copies of your syllabi for several purposes:
- as a reference copy for students in your course
- as a reference copy for students exploring which courses to take
- as proof of the content of a course for students going to graduate school
- as a historical record of courses provided at Williams College
(We began seriously collecting syllabi in 1979, but we also have course catalogs going back to 1822 and the college laws specifying course of study going back before then.)
