The Sixth Extinction, by Elizabeth Kolbert, combines scientific analysis with personal narrative to describe extinct or near-extinct species while simultaneously providing the reader a historical perspective on the concept of extinction. Stop by the Schow display case and see works selected by our summer student assistant Andy Castaneda ‘18. Andy chose items from the Schow Science Library and Sawyer Library collections that were cited in the text as well as materials related to the theme of this 2016-2017 Williams Reads book.
